"BACK TO BASICS"
This will be our fifth time returning to this venue for our seasonal weekend retreat, as we transition from one season to another it's quite common to feel out of balance and less grounded. This autumn retreat gives you the opportunity to recharge and chill out a little before winter, to slow down and set new intentions for the seasons ahead
VENUE:
You will stay on a beautiful country manor estate, with a lovely dedicated yoga space, not far from the North Norfolk Coast.
The weekend location is nature at its best with acres of beautiful private land to explore, gardens, woods, forests and even its own boating lake.
When not on your yoga mat you can take a relaxed walk around the estate enjoy the country air
Or you can stay inside to relax, we will light the wood burners and you can curl up and read a book and chat.
ROOMS:
You will sleep in luxury bedrooms made with reclaimed wood, original farm doors have been used alongside the original timber beams to add authenticity to each room. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms have under floor heating, super comfortable, extra thick sprung mattresses and high-quality cotton linen, as well as using only eco and allergy friendly products.
YOGA WEEKEND:
This weekend we are going back to basics, working with the classical postures of the practice, laying down the foundations first, to refresh.
We will practice at a slow yet still flowing pace, looking at postural integrity, safe alignment, simplifying, deconstructing and strengthening. We will move with more intention-looking at the subtle aspects rather than the gross elements of the practice. We will include some basic pranayama's (breath) and just move more mindfully, maybe noticing the mind as it wanders -to find space to most importantly slow down. You will also have the time and opportunity to ask questions about your practice and to work with an experienced teacher within a relaxed countryside setting.
The weekend is suitable for beginners who want to deepen there practice and more experienced practitioners who want to get back to basics.
FOOD:
The food at this retreat is always a highlight, healthy vegetarian food with a French/Japanese twist will be freshly prepared by a professional chef (my husband) each day.

TRAVEL:
You should arrive between 4-5pm on Friday to settle in before the first yoga class.
The nearest railway station is Downham Market. If travelling by Train the venue is about 90 minutes from London Kings Cross. From there West Lexham is only a taxi journey away shared taxis are also an option which can be arranged.
